Demolition

Singh Excavating BC Ltd. offers demolition services for single and multi-family houses, barns, sheds, and sanitary septic tanks. Our excavator machines are equipped with safety components and our operators are trained to safely demolish the structure. We also take the effort to perform the demolition in a way that has minimal disturbance to the neighborhood. 

Keeping safety in mind, before demolition can begin, a Hazardous Materials Inspection Report, a Clearance Letter from the asbestos-removal contractor and a WorkSafe BC Notice of Project documentation are required on hand. The purpose of this is to ensure that any asbestos-containing materials have been removed and the structure is safe for demolition. In addition, all utility services, including hydro, gas and water needs to be disconnected and properly capped-off so that our team can safely tear down the structure. Safeguarding our clients, we ensure that demolition and related permits are issued according to municipality laws and regulations. 

Each municipality has its own recycling and deconstruction requirement and meeting these is key to our demolition work. Our demolition process involves systematically sorting out the building materials, including wood, and metal which are to be recycled according to municipality requirements and other materials to be sent to the landfill. Furthermore, we remove and break apart the concrete foundation underneath the structure. Again, we ensure that the concrete is properly disposed of according to City regulations. The costs of the removal and disposition of the building materials are built into the original estimate provided to our clients.
